One Of The Rarest Rugs In The World

The serapi rug design, originating from the village of Heriz in northwest Iran, has become one of the most sought after designs in modern western furnishings. The design was started in the mid nineteenth century. A popular misconception is that these rugs are from the village of Serapi, when in fact, they are actually from the village of Heriz. The serapi design is typically less busy than the original Heriz rug. Even though these rugs are coarsely woven, they are one of the most valuable and desirable rugs in the world. They age gracefully and are often sought by collectors. The rug above, is one of the rarest serapi rugs in the United States, and is available here in Augusta, GA.  For more information on this rug and others like it, please call Sean at 706.733-8616.
